Milward Funeral Directors

Milward Funeral

Milward Funeral Directors, a sixth-generation family-owned independent funeral home located in Lexington, Kentucky, has a custom Website that utilizes many of the modules found in a QBsoft® Gold package. Launched January 2003, the Milward Funeral Directors Website enabled the oldest business in Lexington to create an interactive environment for families it serves through the following:

Condolence Message Center (custom module)

Family and friends can write a message of condolence to the family or individual relative of a deceased person whose funeral has been arranged by Milward Funeral Directors by filling out a form on-line. The condolence is not made public, but privately forwarded to the family of the deceased.

Obituary Section (custom module)

An obituary section for all services held at Milward Funeral Directors is available online. Obituaries are archived since December 2002 when the funeral home began entering obituaries into a database, using QBsoft®.

Searchable FAQ (custom module)

Visitors to the Milward Funeral Directors Website can search for answers to specific questions about any aspect of the funeral process by entering a key word, phrase or question. The visitor is then taken to the appropriate FAQ compiled by Milward Funeral Directors about multiple deathcare topics.

E-commerce (custom module)
During the fourth quarter of 2005, Milward Funeral Directors launched a new customized module that gives visitors the ability to order flower arrangements for any funeral service in the Lexington market. Most visitors are directed to the Website through the URL in the newspaper obituaries. The orders are conviniently and securely processed by credit card and managed in the QBsoft® back office through the customized module.
